Correct measurement starts with the right sensor
A measuring current transformer is more than a ring surrounding a conductor. The detected waveform, connected evaluator and mechanical arrangement together form the correct measurement chain.

Type A is considered for alternating and pulsating direct currents; suitable Type B sensors are assessed where smooth DC components must also be measured.
Size the conductor aperture
Select the aperture according to conductor count, cross-section and installation arrangement. Evaluate an appropriately sized sensor together with connection conditions.
Choose a configuration for the existing installation
Split-core sensors can simplify installation in existing systems. Device compatibility requires separate verification for round, rectangular and flexible types.
